The art, music, and content shared are to bring joy, support dementia research, honor Charlene, and most of all to honor Jesus.
Charlene Pelfrey started her journey into art when she became an empty nester. She was inspired by Bob Ross and his "Happy Little Trees".
Charlene had four children, a husband, and a love for Jesus.
Charlene passed away in 2024. She lost her son, Kyle, in 2022 and never recovered. The diagnosis was early-onset rapidly progressing dementia. Her family think losing a child was more than she could bear. A portion of proceeds raised will benefit dementia research.
Charlene's legacy lives on through her art and her family. Charlene's husband of forty years, Darrell Pelfrey, is a musician. Her living children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren have various parts in telling this story.
The story of Charlene and the Happy Little Trees is one of faith, hope, family, and community. It is also to promote dementia awareness.
